The Faculty annual Summer School is one of the world’s best-known astrological events, attracting students from many countries to the beautiful city of Oxford to enjoy the weekend and five-day courses.
The programme caters for a range of levels, from relative beginners through to students and practitioners at advanced or professional level. STEFANO STRACUZZI
DFAstrolSobtained the Faculty Diploma in 2022 and has been a distance learning tutor since 2023. He is particularly interested in mundane research, which includes studies on financial, political and social trends, as well as seismic events. He is the author of two books: The Cosmic Journey: Astrology Beyond the Self and Mundane Astrology: Outer Cycles Beyond Pluto. He is currently working on his MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
R. HAKAN KIRKOĞLU
DFAstrolS, ISAR CAPwas born in Istanbul, and has studied astrology for more than forty years. A professional astrologer, writer, and international lecturer, he is also a prize-winning Faculty Diploma holder (1997). His practice brings Hellenistic principles into fruitful dialogue with modern techniques. Following a BS in Management Engineering, he holds MA degrees in History and Economics; his history thesis explored astrology at the eighteenth-century Ottoman court. Hakan has also pioneered astrology education in Turkey by founding the Wisdom of the Sky School.
ERIC FISCHMANN
DFAstrolSis a teacher and a consultant astrologer who holds an MA in English and American Studies. He encountered astrology at 21 and has been a student of this art ever since. He studied with different astrologers and schools, and in 2004 he undertook a two-year training programme in Psychosynthesis before joining the Faculty of Astrological Studies as a student in 2006. He now teaches for the Faculty and enjoys sharing what he’s learnt with other students, especially interpretation skills, Eric’s particular field of interest.
DRAGANA VAN DE MOORTEL-ILIĆ
DFAstrolShas been working as a professional astrologer since 1990. Her passion lies in observing celestial elements of Byzantine frescoes and the discourse of medieval Christian symbology with heaven. Dragana is a Faculty online tutor, the Summer School Programme Co-ordinator and a Council member. She has an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and is currently undertaking further research in history at Oxford University.
