The Faculty annual Summer School is one of the world’s best-known astrological events, attracting students from many countries to the beautiful city of Oxford to enjoy the weekend and five-day courses.
The programme caters for a range of levels, from relative beginners through to students and practitioners at advanced or professional level. With our world-class team of experienced guest tutors providing an exciting and dynamic programme of study, Summer School offers you a chance to work in depth with astrology, developing knowledge of new subjects and techniques, and deepening your understanding of existing ones. World class tutors
JOI TONG LEE 李再唐
is a 44th-generation descendant of the Tang imperial lineage, inheriting the royal metaphysical tradition from masters including Yang Yunsong (楊筠松). Trained from childhood by his father in classical theory and embodied geomancy, he continues his family’s astrological teachings through a contemporary lens. With over sixty years’ experience in media production, he also supports Buddhist and Taoist initiatives with the World Buddhist Forum, Wudang Mountains, and the Buddhist Light International Association.
Lindsay Gladstone
DFAstrolSis a consultant astrologer. She is a former Faculty Head of Exams, tutor and Summer School Registrar. Enchanted by the mysteries of the divine, she observes the contemplative route of the heart/mind philosophies of medieval Middle Eastern mystics. Archaeology and the study of shamanic practices are her abiding passions. She holds an MA in Myth, Cosmology and the Sacred from Canterbury Christ Church University.
Mark Fountain
DFAstrolShas been a Faculty tutor since 2006 and is currently the Head of Exams. His interests include mythology, history, politics, art and literature. He enjoys exploring the potential of the larger asteroids to enrich his astrological practice and using mundane astrology to understand social and cultural change. He's also engaged in research into harmonics. He has a background in English language teaching, making him particularly interested in how astrologers can communicate effectively with their clients.
Stevi Gaydon
DFAstrolSis a Faculty tutor who teaches both online classes and by distance learning. She has run her astrological practice since gaining her Diploma in 2010. Her work with clients is informed by her background in training business people in negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as by her experience as a coach. Stevi has an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
