The Faculty annual Summer School is one of the world’s best-known astrological events, attracting students from many countries to the beautiful city of Oxford to enjoy the weekend and five-day courses.

The programme caters for a range of levels, from relative beginners through to students and practitioners at advanced or professional level. With our world-class team of experienced guest tutors providing an exciting and dynamic programme of study, Summer School offers you a chance to work in depth with astrology, developing knowledge of new subjects and techniques, and deepening your understanding of existing ones. The Faculty will do its very best to make you feel welcome and at home. Dr Frances Clynes

DFAstrolS

is the current President of the Faculty of Astrological Studies and Online Learning Manager as well as being a distance learning and online tutor. She has been a practicing astrologer since 1987 and has lectured in Ireland, the UK and the US. Frances is also the Lead Tutor on the Astrology, History, Spirit and Soul module and the Dissertation module of the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology in the Sophia Centre at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

R. HAKAN KIRKOĞLU

DFAstrolS, ISAR CAP

was born in Istanbul, and has studied astrology for more than forty years. A professional astrologer, writer, and international lecturer, he is also a prize-winning Faculty Diploma holder (1997). His practice brings Hellenistic principles into fruitful dialogue with modern techniques. Following a BS in Management Engineering, he holds MA degrees in History and Economics; his history thesis explored astrology at the eighteenth-century Ottoman court. Hakan has also pioneered astrology education in Turkey by founding the Wisdom of the Sky School.

Marielle CHURAQUI

DFAstrolS

is a London-based astrologer who gained the Faculty Diploma in 2008 and an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in 2012. She is a tutor and the Treasurer of the Faculty. Her approach to astrology is inspired by Jungian ideas, particularly James Hillman’s concept of soul. She also teaches yoga, using yoga techniques to explore astrological themes.

Stevi Gaydon

DFAstrolS

is a Faculty tutor who teaches both online classes and by distance learning. She has run her astrological practice since gaining her Diploma in 2010. Her work with clients is informed by her background in training business people in negotiation and interpersonal skills as well as by her experience as a coach. Stevi has an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
