Animals have always occupied a central place in astrological symbolism. In Western, Chinese and Vedic traditions alike, they serve as living archetypes through which cosmic principles are expressed. The word zodiac itself derives from the Greek zodiakos — the circle of animals — reminding us that the heavens have long been imagined as a great menagerie of meaning.
Projected onto the night sky as constellations, carved into sacred architecture, and honoured across cultures as divine messengers and embodiments of spiritual force, creatures of earth and sky have been revered as mediators between the human and the cosmic.
In this experiential workshop, we will explore the role of animal symbolism within astrology and myth, before moving into guided practice. Through meditation, gentle movement, and dramatisation, participants will be invited to encounter the archetype of the power animal — understood as a symbolic and spiritual ally that supports us in daily life.
This session offers a space for imaginative engagement, embodied exploration, and reflection on how animal energies may be active within your own chart and personal journey.
Open to all delegates. No prior experience required.
