Summer School

The Faculty annual Summer School is one of the world’s best-known astrological events, attracting students from many countries to the beautiful city of Oxford to enjoy the weekend and five-day courses.

The programme caters for a range of levels, from relative beginners through to students and practitioners at advanced or professional level. With our world-class team of experienced guest tutors providing an exciting and dynamic programme of study, Summer School offers you a chance to work in depth with astrology, developing knowledge of new subjects and techniques, and deepening your understanding of existing ones. The Faculty will do its very best to make you feel welcome and at home. Clare Martin

DFAstrolS

is a psychotherapist and has been a practicing astrologer, lecturer and teacher since 1990. She was a tutor and supervisor at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, and President of the Faculty of Astrological Studies for nine years. She has written a three-volume introduction to psychological astrology: Mapping the Psyche and Alchemy: The Soul of Astrology. Her latest book, Star-Crossed, explores the astrology of personality theory and the meeting of opposites.

MÓNICA TEIXEIRA

has been a Faculty tutor since 2017 and the Head of Exams between 2022 and 2024. She holds an Informatics degree from the University of Lisbon and an International Certification in Coaching. She worked as a software engineer in the eHealth industry for twenty years. Since 2017, she has been fully dedicated to astrology and her greatest satisfaction is in helping people through astrological consultations.

began learning astrology in the late 1960s in America. She began her practice in Southern Africa in the early 70s. Coming to England in the 80s, she began teaching at the Centre for Psychological Astrology (CPA) and was soon teaching internationally. She has written several astrology books and received an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University in 2006 and the Charles Harvey Award in 2013. Her consultation practice continues to be at the very heart of her working life as an astrologer.

ALEJO LÓPEZ

is a licensed psychologist with a second degree in performing arts and an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the Sophia Centre at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, where he received the 2023-24 Alumni Association Dissertation Prize. He is training to become a certified Jungian Analyst with the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). Alejo works as a consultant astrologer and psychologist, aiming to foster self-awareness. He believes astrology’s symbolic language enables deep dialogue with hidden aspects of the self, guiding individuals toward authentic self-discovery.
