The Faculty annual Summer School is one of the world’s best-known astrological events, attracting students from many countries to the beautiful city of Oxford to enjoy the weekend and five-day courses.

The programme caters for a range of levels, from relative beginners through to students and practitioners at advanced or professional level. With our world-class team of experienced guest tutors providing an exciting and dynamic programme of study, Summer School offers you a chance to work in depth with astrology, developing knowledge of new subjects and techniques, and deepening your understanding of existing ones. The Faculty will do its very best to make you feel welcome and at home. is the current President of the Faculty of Astrological Studies and Online Learning Manager as well as being a distance learning and online tutor. She has been a practicing astrologer since 1987 and has lectured in Ireland, the UK and the US. Frances is also the Lead Tutor on the Astrology, History, Spirit and Soul module and the Dissertation module of the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology in the Sophia Centre at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

DFAstrolS

is a London-based astrologer who gained the Faculty Diploma in 2008 and an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in 2012. She is a tutor and the Treasurer of the Faculty. Her approach to astrology is inspired by Jungian ideas, particularly James Hillman’s concept of soul. She also teaches yoga, using yoga techniques to explore astrological themes.

began learning astrology in the late 1960s in America. She began her practice in Southern Africa in the early 70s. Coming to England in the 80s, she began teaching at the Centre for Psychological Astrology (CPA) and was soon teaching internationally. She has written several astrology books and received an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University in 2006 and the Charles Harvey Award in 2013. Her consultation practice continues to be at the very heart of her working life as an astrologer.

Guest Tutor

has studied astrology for over thirty years and he has spoken at several international conferences in Poland, UK, Portugal, China, Japan and Australia. Rod has been invited several times to teach at the Faculty of Astrological Studies Summer School in Oxford. His main areas of interest are fixed stars, comets, mundane astrology, financial astrology, astronomy and astromapping, and he takes a humanistic approach to astrology. Rod is also an experienced astrophotographer
