The Faculty annual Summer School is one of the world’s best-known astrological events, attracting students from many countries to the beautiful city of Oxford to enjoy the weekend and five-day courses.

The programme caters for a range of levels, from relative beginners through to students and practitioners at advanced or professional level. With our world-class team of experienced guest tutors providing an exciting and dynamic programme of study, Summer School offers you a chance to work in depth with astrology, developing knowledge of new subjects and techniques, and deepening your understanding of existing ones. The Faculty will do its very best to make you feel welcome and at home. CHRISTIAN KÖNIG

is a consulting astrologer with over 35 years of practice in astrology and as a psychotherapist (depth psychology, trauma therapy) in Germany. He holds an MSc in psychology and is a certified astrologer of the German Astrological Association. He specialises in the astrology of the fixed stars and psychological astrology. His passion is to bring the starry sky back to astrology: stars, constellations, and planets.

Darby Costello

began learning astrology in the late 1960s in America. She began her practice in Southern Africa in the early 70s. Coming to England in the 80s, she began teaching at the Centre for Psychological Astrology (CPA) and was soon teaching internationally. She has written several astrology books and received an MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology from Bath Spa University in 2006 and the Charles Harvey Award in 2013. Her consultation practice continues to be at the very heart of her working life as an astrologer.

Toby Aldren

DFAstrolS

is a Faculty tutor for both online classes and distance learning via email. He gained his Diploma in 2013, joined the tutor team in 2017, and become Head Tutor in November 2024. Toby has been an educator throughout his career and he also works as a musician. He lives with his husband and a very pampered border collie in the remote community of Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, on Canada's west coast.

Clare Martin

is a psychotherapist and has been a practicing astrologer, lecturer and teacher since 1990. She was a tutor and supervisor at the Centre for Psychological Astrology, and President of the Faculty of Astrological Studies for nine years. She has written a three-volume introduction to psychological astrology: Mapping the Psyche and Alchemy: The Soul of Astrology. Her latest book, Star-Crossed, explores the astrology of personality theory and the meeting of opposites.
